Debt Collecting South Africa

A)  CORPORATE ACCOUNTS – Companies (Non Liquidations)

CLIENT TAKE-ONS

All new work, with regards to debt collecting South Africa, will commence only after receiving a mandate, on a company letterhead from your company, stipulating the authority to follow up and recover selected debtors for a specific company.

All new handovers will be collected as agreed upon by both parties involved and all new work will be issued in accordance with above.

FDRS specialise in corporate accounts.  Individual accounts (private individual accounts) will be considered on an ad hoc basis.

Authority on decisions needs to be determined by mutual agreement and be included in the same mandate.  Authority is defined as account queries such as price variances on invoices, goods not delivered, goods returned (pod’s) but not yet credited, warrantee retentions etc.

However, even if all efforts to be successful fail, no costs will apply and all related expenditure will be for FDRS’s account.  These accounts will be handed back to you for your legal action consideration with a summary of events leading up to the stage of handover/hand back to you.

As an added free service, upon receiving a mandate from you, you may request to blacklist a company under various categories.

COLLECTIONS AND PAY OVERS

As far as the operational side of the collection service is concerned, the commission due will be determined as follows:

Money collected will be paid into FDRS’s trust account.  As soon as the funds are cleared (normally within a week), FDRS will pay over the consideration to you/your company less the agreed commission due to FDRS.

Regular feedback will be given after receiving the mandate.  This is to keep you updated on the progress or any problematic circumstances that may arise.

DATA TRANSFER/COLLECTION

Debtor information may be given to me in any of the following formats:

1.   On CD or in appropriate Word and/or Excel format

2.   Hardcopy

B)  LIQUIDATION DEBTOR BOOKS

CLIENT TAKE-ONS

All new work will commence only after receiving a mandate, on a company letterhead from your company, stipulating the authority to follow up and recover all debtors for a specific company.  The mandate needs to include your full banking particulars.  This letter (mandate) will be sent to the respective debtors covered by this mandate, along with the first correspondence to them.

With the mandate, a separate letter must be issued where an agreed commission is reflected.

All new handovers will be collected as agreed upon by both parties involved and all new work will be issued in accordance with above.

FDRS specialises in corporate accounts only (liquidations).  Individual accounts (private individual accounts) will be considered on an ad hoc basis.  Commission structures for corporate accounts only.

COLLECTIONS AND PAY OVERS

As far as the operational side of the collection service is concerned, the commission due will be determined as follows:

Where your policy is that money be paid into your account, FDRS needs to get confirmation from you within 24 hours of deposits being reflected in your bank account.  This is necessary as to avoid unnecessary costs incurred by FDRS for monies already received.  An accessible contact person should be provided for such confirmation.  Commission is due 48 hours after such confirmation/invoice.

Regular feedback will be given after receiving the mandate.  This is to keep you updated on the progress or any problematic circumstances that may arise.
